Thomas Kennedy of Winnipeg, Manitoba has come close on a couple of occasions this season to winning a Midwest Power Series feature race. On Saturday night June 22 at the Ogilvie Raceway during the running of the 8th Annual Davey Tabor Memorial, Kennedy kicked the proverbial “monkey off his back” and went on to sweep the evening’s activities in the 360 winged sprint car division. With the opening weekend officially in the scorebook, The Midwest Power Series will embark on doubleheader weekend number two this coming weekend, with tracks in Iowa and Minnesota on tap. This coming Friday, June 18, The Quality Freight Rate Midwest Power Series will again join forces with the MSTS and meet up at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids Iowa.
