Clint is a seven-time 360 Track Champion and is currently second all-time in career 360 wins at Knoxville. He won the 2017 360 Knoxville Nationals. He also has two 410 feature wins at Knoxville. Clint's family is heavily involved in his race team. His in-law's Boyd and Glenda Fluth own the team while his father Randy and brother Matt are also involved..
Clint started in sprint cars in 1993, racing IMCA 360s. He won his first feature in August at the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls. His first win at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota came in 1996, and he would win the 360 championship there in 2002. He dominated the competition at Huset’s that season, winning 10 times and taking home the track and NMRA championship. He won 19 races overall that season, including his first career Knoxville victory. He was also second in 360 points that season, and finished third in the Tournament of Champions.
Clint has over 70 wins in sprint car competition in his career. A testament to his versatility can be seen in 2008, where he won in 410, 360 and 305 competition in the season ending Midwest 305 Sprint Car Nationals. Clint prides himself in his technical knowledge, and has worked on the World of Outlaws tour with such drivers as Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Jason Sides and Tyler Walker.
Clint showed up for the first time at Knoxville in 2001 with a 410 for Twin Features night. He promptly turned heads by finishing in the top ten in both features. His best 410 season at Knoxville came in 2006, when he finished third in the standings.
